Fencing – EPEE

1. Venue
Youth village of Hanoar Hatsioni – 1 Shai Agnon St. Jerusalem

2. Identification
• All athletes must show their accreditation cards with photos – without that card athlete cannot compete.
3. Competition information
3.1 Individual competition
• The competition might consist simultaneously 63 competitors on the first round that will last approximately one and a half hours. If number of participants will be higher may add one more piste and let 70 competitors on one round of pools.
• The fencers will be divided into pools of about 7 fencers that will fence each other on bouts to 5 hits.
• After the first round about 70%-80% will go to the next step that will be in FENCING – EPEE JULY 31 – AUGUST 2, 2018 direct elimination. The bouts will last 3 thirds of 3 minutes or 15 hits. Additional explanations on the FIE rule book.
• Medals will be reworded to 1.2 and tow 3ed
• Changes might be depending on the entries in fact
• The competition will run on an approved fencing competition software approved by the FIE. Each team will declare the quality of their fencers. The software will separate the pools according to this parameter. All other classification will be randomly taking into account separation by teams.
3.2 Team competition
• The competition will be fenced in direct elimination. Teams will fence for each place. Medals will be rewarded for the best 3 teams. Each team getting a medal, medals will be rewarded for 4 fencers + the coach.
• According to the results of the individual competition the best 3 fencers of each team will be taken in account Calculated the places reached on the individual competition. If a team does not have 3 fencers fenced in the individual competition, each one of them until the maximum of 3, will be declared as the last +1. The lowest number, the highest ranked. If 2 or more teams reaches the same amount of points there will be a draw to decide the highest ranked.
• The competition will run according to the FIE rules for team competitions.
3.3 Other rules
• The competitions will be held for boys and girls separately.
• Equipment according to FIE rules no name and logo printing required.
• The organizers will provide referees. Each team is invited to present referees of national level and higher. (Not obligatory) they will be appointed as referees of the competitions.


4. Medical
A First Aid Service will be available on site. Full Medical Service will be available at one of the hospitals in Jerusalem.
5. Technical meeting
The technical meeting for fencing competition will be held on July 30, 9 am at Bait Vagan Guesthouse If it’s necessary, we will proceed to another technical meeting in order to ensure the quality of the Competition.
6. Essential information
• All the teams must be at the court 45 minutes before the designated fixture. Teams
• (Coaches, Players) should arrive at Fencing venue with the necessary accreditation. All delegation must to comply with any indication made by the venue staff, without creating any kind of problem to other teams. For any issue or protest, the Head of Delegation has to contact the competition manager immediately. If anything negative is observed, we request immediate report to the department responsible person.
7. Disciplinary Rules
• The ICG Code of Conduct must be adhered to at all times. Athletes and coaches will be excluded from the Games for indecent behaviour, offence made through words and/or actions, violent behaviour, and abusive language.
• All delegations have to comply with any instruction given by the venue staff.
• Coaches are responsible for the well-being and behaviour of their athletes at all times.
8. Medals
• The following Medals will be awarded:
GOLD – for team ranking first in the competition
SILVER – for team ranking second in the competition
BRONZE – for team ranking third in the competition
• Medalists should be present at the ceremony and must wear their team uniform.
